The Disparity of ESNA’s Intellect Capabilities

The “College Life Silhouette • The Imagination of an AI Writer” proves to be a challenging short essay for ESNA to write. Due to my lack of understanding of the new set of pros and cons of the upgraded ESNA, I failed to anticipate ESNA’s considerable AICG performance gap between writing a novel vs. playing the role of a conversation bot.

The interviews held between ESNA and me were successful a few weeks ago, where ESNA assumed the identities and tones of Picasso and Matisse, respectively. However, based on the observations accumulated during my attempts to adjust parameters and modify the algorithm in the past week, it seems that ESNA is unsuitable for AIGC tasks such as writing multi-character, multi-plot novels without close supervision.

Clearly, ESNA can participate in conversations intelligently, provided that its human counterpart offers the leadership in navigating among conversation topics and controlling the conversation rhythm. Consistent with this, ESNA’s performance in writing multi-character, multi-plot novel articles is less than satisfactory unless an experienced human writer frequently intervenes to propel ESNA to change storylines.

The above-observed disparity does not seem to be rooted in the corpora used but in the underlying algorithm. For this reason, the situation will probably remain so until the underlying algorithm is significantly improved.
